Permanent Council Considers Draft Declaration on Inter-American Day against Arbitrary Detention

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, June 23, at 10:30 a.m. EDT (14:30 GMT) to consider the draft declaration ,b>"Establishment of the Inter-American Day against Arbitrary Detention and for the Release of Persons Detained for the Exercise or Defence of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms," among other topics.
