Hitting It Out of the Park: TLU’s Bill Miller Finds His Place in SAABCA Hall of Honor

Every year, the San Antonio Area Baseball Coaches Association honors a chosen few exceptional coaches who make outstanding contributions to the development of their baseball program, to their players, and to the game itself. For 2025, TLU's own Director of Athletics Bill Miller was inducted into the SAABCA Hall of Honor.

"I was tremendously honored to receive this award," Miller said. "I have not coached since 2007, so to receive such an award at this point in my career was very surprising."

Miller said SAABCA is an outstanding association. "To be honored by other baseball coaches is one of the greatest privileges of my life. Baseball is all about players. I was extremely privileged to have coached a lot of great players, especially at Texas Lutheran."

The SAABCA, a non-profit organization, exists to promote baseball, to connect coaches, and to provide resources.
