Keiser University recognizes TMH's outstanding partnership in preparing students for the workforce and its ongoing commitment to hiring Keiser graduates

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Feb. 2, 2026) - Over the weekend, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare was recognized with the 2026 Employer Choice Award by Keiser University during the college's statewide graduation ceremony in Lakeland. Each year, the university honors organizations that play a vital role in student education, career development and workforce advancement across Florida.

TMH was recognized for hiring more than 400 graduates from Keiser University's nursing, allied health and business programs and serving as a leading clinical training site for students. In addition to providing externship and internship opportunities, TMH leaders regularly visit classrooms to mentor students, support career readiness and serve on the Keiser University Tallahassee Advisory Board. TMH has also partnered with Keiser in advocating for initiatives that expand access to healthcare education, including the EASE Grant.

"Our partnership with Keiser University has been incredibly meaningful," said Kyrie Thomas, Chief Nursing Officer at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. "Together, we are helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals and strengthening the workforce that cares for our community every day."

Thomas was joined by Patricia Kenney, Executive Director of Nursing Engagement at TMH, to accept the award, expressing gratitude for the collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing healthcare in the Big Bend.

"Working alongside Keiser University allows us to support students as they transition from the classroom into meaningful careers," shared Patricia Kenney in the acceptance speech.
