NSPE Appoints Christina Lewellen, MBA, FASAE, CAE, as Executive Director & CEO

The National Society of Professional Engineers, representing more than 19,000 members, is pleased to announce that Christina Lewellen, MBA, FASAE, CAE, has been selected as the organization's new Executive Director and CEO, effective April 6, 2026.

Christina Lewellen is a steady and thoughtful leader-known for listening first, communicating clearly, and prioritizing people and mission. She brings a collaborative, service-minded approach and will serve as a strong partner to staff, volunteers, and members across NSPE's chapters and the profession. Lewellen has deep experience leading teams through change fostering transparency and creating operational efficiencies that allow teams to do their best work.

With more than 20 years of association leadership spanning marketing and communications, business development, and operations, Lewellen has a proven record of strengthening member value, increasing engagement, and operating with financial discipline. In her recent role as CEO of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools, she achieved significant growth over six years, including a 144% revenue increase, through strategic planning, program development, and partnership-building.

Lewellen has also launched new engagement and membership models, increased corporate membership, developed certifications and programs, and strengthened reporting and operational clarity to support sound decision-making. Her commitment to volunteer leadership is reflected in her service on numerous boards, her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, and her recognition as an ASAE Fellow.

"NSPE's commitment to service and professional responsibility is clear, and I'm honored to join the organization at this moment," said Lewellen. "I'm excited to work alongside staff and volunteer leaders to amplify what's working, strengthen momentum, and advance our shared priorities."

NSPE also recognizes Rodneikka Scott, MSc, CAE, CSM, who is currently serving as Interim Executive Director and CEO. She has provided steady leadership and continuity during the transition and will continue in the role through April 6. This will ensure a smooth handoff as Lewellen assumes leadership to propel NSPE into its next chapter of service and professional advancement for engineers nationwide.
