Master’s students honored in hooding ceremony

KOKOMO, Ind. - Indiana University Kokomo honored graduate students in its annual hooding ceremony on Friday May 8 in Havens Auditorium.

Faculty, staff, family, and friends celebrated with 47 students in the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Management (MPM), Master of Science in Management, Master of Science in Education in Technology for Learning, Master of Arts for Teachers in History, Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, Master of Liberal Studies, Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Master of Arts for Teachers in Mathematics programs.

Each received hoods in recognition of their achievements in their degree programs, draped by a faculty member who played an important role in their time at IU Kokomo.

Chancellor Mark Canada welcomed the graduates and their family and friends.

"In the year of IU Kokomo's 57th annual Commencement ceremony, we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of these degree candidates with all of you," he said. "We know that our students have counted on the support of family and friends to make this day possible, and we extend a special welcome to you and share your pride in their accomplishments."
