CCG conducts emergency transfer of seriously ill infant

BEIJING, July 16 -- On July 14, 2026, due to the limited medical facilities on the island, a seriously ill infant over nine months old on Weizhou Island was in urgent need‌to transfer to a hospital in Beihai City of Guangxi Province in south China.

Upon receiving thecall, the Beihai Bureau of the China Coast Guard (CCG) dispatchedthepatrol boatTuanheto carry out a maritime emergency transfer mission. During the mission, law enforcers cooperated with the medical staff to monitor the infant's physical conditionand comfort the family members‌. The medical staff transferred the infant to the hospital after arriving at the port.

The infantis receiving targeted treatment at the hospitaland is in a stable condition.
