Lot 2 in Harvard Square to Close for Construction Through January 2027

Lot 2 , located beneath the Harvard Square Hotel, will close beginning Monday, November 2, 2026 , while Harvard University completes structural repairs to the garage.

While portions of Lot 2 were closed to parkers for construction earlier this year, all of Lot 2 will now be closed for the duration of the project to allow crews to complete repairs and stage construction equipment. Construction is expected to be completed by January 30, 2027.

T he Harvard Square Hotel will also be closed during construction and is expected to reopen in February 2027. Nearby residents and businesses may experience some construction-related noise while work is underway.
