Dean Naomi Yavneh Klos named to the National Collegiate Honors Council’s 2026 Class of Fellows

The University of New Mexico Honors College Dean Naomi Yavneh Klos has been selected for the National Collegiate Honors Council's (NCHC) 2026 Class of Fellows. This distinction recognizes sustained contributions to honors teaching, learning, scholarship, and leadership in higher education.

NCHC Fellows are selected through peer review in recognition of their sustained contributions to honors education. Considerations include leadership at the state, regional, and national levels; participation in honors conferences; scholarly contributions; professional development activities; outstanding honors teaching; and consulting, mentoring, and service that strengthen honors programs beyond their own institutions.

"Our 2026 Fellows demonstrate the lasting impact of dedicated leadership, thoughtful scholarship, and generous service to honors education," said NCHC President Daniel Roberts. "Through their work, they have expanded opportunities for students, mentored colleagues, and helped shape the future of our honors community. On behalf of NCHC, I am proud to recognize their contributions and grateful for the example they set for all of us."

The 2026 Fellows will be recognized during the NCHC Awards Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 13, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, Louisiana. The ceremony is part of NCHC's Annual Conference, taking place Nov. 11-14.
