City Welcomes New Customer Service and Innovation Director

Kim Bradford has built her career around helping local governments work better for the people they serve. With more than two decades of experience in local government, her work has focused on strategy, performance, continuous improvement, customer experience and creating systems that help employees do their best work.

Customer Service and Innovation is a new city department approved by the Goodyear City Council in August. The department will strengthen how the city serves residents by creating a more consistent, responsive and customer-focused experience. As Goodyear continues to grow, the department will focus on improving how customer requests are managed and resolved while advancing innovative solutions that make city services easier to navigate and more efficient.

Bradford's career has included serving in local government leadership roles as well as working with communities across the country to improve service delivery, strengthen organizational performance and turn big-picture goals into meaningful results. She has spent more than 12 years with the city of Goodyear, most recently serving as Deputy Director of Development Services.

"This opportunity brings together the work I care most deeply about - helping people, improving how organizations work and creating better experiences for the community," said Bradford. "I'm excited to help build a future where customer service, strategy, performance and innovation are connected in a way that makes government easier to navigate, more responsive and more meaningful for the people we serve."

Bradford is especially passionate about bringing people together around a shared purpose and finding practical ways to empower employees, improve how government works and better serve the community. She holds a bachelor's degree in business and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in strategic leadership. She has also completed professional training and development in organizational excellence, continuous improvement, strategy, performance management and leadership.
