Baker McKenzie advises Daimler Truck on global IT outsourcing project

Baker McKenzie has advised Daimler Truck throughout all phases of a complex global IT outsourcing project. This project covered large parts of the company's IT infrastructure with an overall service volume in the nine figures.

After its spin-off from Daimler AG (now Mercedes-Benz Group AG), Daimler Truck has successfully taken on a lighthouse IT outsourcing project. We provided our client comprehensive assistance in executing a strict provider selection process, from establishing a set of contract documents that all prospective providers had to work from to a coordinated negotiation phase. The project started at the turn of years 2024/2025 and lead to provider selection at the end of 2025.

"We are pleased that we were able to successfully support Daimler Truck in this complex project and could work together with the stellar Daimler Truck project team. With the new service provider setup, our client's IT infrastructure will be ready for the future of the commercial vehicle industry.", says Patrick Wilkening, one of the lead partners at Baker McKenzie.
