Quick Response will be starting a new project in Lamar County. Crews will be constructing a Right-Hand turn lane on SR 41 and Atlanta Street begins on October 6

What: Quick Response will be starting a new project in Lamar County. Crews will be constructing a Right-Hand turn lane on SR 41 and Atlanta Street begins on October 6. They will also be installing a R-cut intersection on SR 41

An RCUT is an intersection design that reduces crashes by changing how minor road traffic crosses or turns left at a major road reducing the potential conflict with other vehicles. At an RCUT, minor road traffic must turn right. Left turn and through movements from the minor road are accomplished through the use of a downstream U-turn. All movements (left, though, and right) are allowed from the major road. ​RCUT Interchanges (J-Turn Intersections) - GDOT

Why: It will improve traffic flow and safety.

When: Begins October 6, 2025

They will have 60 days to complete
