Funding available for Bellevue cross-cultural events and programs

Published September 9 2025

The City of Bellevue is accepting applications for funding starting Monday, Sept. 15, for the Cross-Cultural Center Without Walls program.

This is the second year the program will provide funding to organizations to host free events and activities that bring Bellevue's communities together across different cultures, encouraging active intercultural engagement, learning and exchange. The program's goal is to support interactions between people and groups from different racial, ethnic, cultural and other backgrounds.

The city is hosting a virtual information session on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 6-7 p.m., where applicants can learn about the program and the process to apply. Preregistration is required.

The first year of programming concluded in May. During that time, 19 organizations hosted 60 cross-cultural events and programs in Bellevue, serving more than 4,000 people. The city collected feedback from program participants, which informed the program details for this year.
