City of Henderson Expands Preschool Programs To Meet Growing Demand

Registration for the 2026-27 School Year Is Open Now Until Classes Are Filled

HENDERSON, Nev. (July 28, 2026) - The City of Henderson is expanding its state-licensed preschool programs with additional classes to provide more early learning opportunities for children ages 3 to 5. Registration is open now for the 2026-27 school year.

The City's ABC ETC. half-day preschool program and Little Learners full-day preschool program at Valley View Recreation Center provide a nurturing environment where children build academic, social and emotional skills through hands-on learning, teamwork, creativity and kindness.

Preschool enrollment in City of Henderson programs increased 21.84% over the previous year, reflecting growing demand for high-quality early childhood education options. To accommodate more families, the City expanded its preschool offerings for the 2026-27 school year from nine classes to 14 classes, a 55.6% increase.

Families interested in enrolling their children in the City's preschool programs can register year-round, subject to availability.

The City is also continuing to invest in early childhood education with the construction of its second preschool facility in the Cadence community. The new location will expand access to early learning opportunities and help more of Henderson's youngest residents build a strong foundation for lifelong success.
