TALLAHASSEE, FLA. -

Today, Secretary of State Cord Byrd announced the installation of "The Founders Museum, The Road to Liberty," an exhibit curated by PragerU in partnership with The White House and U.S. Department of Education and installed by the Florida Department of State. The exhibit is open on the Lower Level (LL) of the State Capitol.

"I'm excited to share this educational and interactive exhibit, which vividly brings America's founding to life," said Secretary of State Cord Byrd. "As we celebrate America250FL, this is a moving tribute to the men and women who risked their lives, fortune and sacred honor."

In honor of the American Semiquincentennial in 2026, the display features portraits and short videos of those who signed the Declaration of Independence, revolutionary women and key events in the Revolution. The exhibit is a replica of one installed at the White House earlier this year with the addition of an informative Florida history timeline.

Hours of operation for the Florida Capitol can be found at floridacapitol.myflorida.com.
