NOTICE DISRUPTION DUE TO BANKRUPTCY NOTICING CENTER OUTAGE AND TEMPORARY DELEGATION OF ADDITIONAL NOTICES AND SERVICE OF ORDERS

Thursday, October 22, 2026
As noted in Operating Order 26-02, in early October 2026, the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) experienced a serious disruption of service affecting bankruptcy courts nationwide ("notice disruption"). The BNC is responsible for effecting service of notices and orders on behalf of the Clerk of Court and maintains a list of preferred addresses submitted by parties in interest for use in serving documents in bankruptcy cases. Because the notice disruption continues to affect the Court's ability to timely and completely serve notices, orders, and other documents in bankruptcy cases, the Court has entered Operating Order 26-03 to provide information and directives and modify the service obligations for certain notices and orders entered by the Court until further order.
As provided in more detail in Operating Order 26-03, in addition to the delegations set forth in SC LBR 5075-1 and 9013-4, or any other applicable Code section or Rule, the following additional notice and service delegations are temporarily implemented. This requirement applies to all such items docketed on or after the date of entry of this Operating Order.
