This week, New Mexico in Focus digs into the results - and the implications - of this year's midterm elections, including the historic win for New Mexico's Deb Haaland, the first Indigenous woman elected governor in U.S. history.
Host Nash Jones spoke with three local political journalists to contextualize the election: Joshua Bowling with Source New Mexico, Shaun Griswold of High Country News and Buffalo's Fire, and NMiF Politics Correspondent Gwyneth Doland.
Then, political experts Eric Griego and Merritt Allen join Nash to analyze the results and consider how a blue state like New Mexico could somehow get bluer.
NMiF airs on NMPBS 5.1 (KNME HD) on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 8 at 7 a.m. and streaming on the PBS video app. Involved, informed, in-depth media: watch New Mexico in Focus again online shortly thereafter.
