SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The subject property is an undeveloped, irregularly shaped 790-acre parcel owned by the City of Kingman. It is situated east of U.S. Highway 66 and directly adjacent to the west and south sides of IGM. The surrounding area includes commercial and light industrial development to the west, Kingman Airport and Airport Industrial Park to the north, and vacant land to the south and east. Additionally, the site borders a Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) mainline, providing options for rail-served parcel development. The land directly borders the airport's airside and landside facilities, separated only by a perimeter fence. Historically, this property was utilized to store surplus aircraft following World War II. An additional 42.6 acres is included in this release request to reflect the land required for the proposed Flying Fortress Parkway, which bisects the subject property. The property will be sold to the City at the Fair Market Value (FMV) which has been determined to be $8,000,000. Section 125 of The Wendell H. Ford Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century (AIR-21) requires the FAA to provide an opportunity for public notice and comment prior to the "waiver" or "modification" of a sponsor's Federal obligation to use certain airport land for non-aeronautical purposes.

Authority for the Policy: This notice is published under the authority described in Title 49 of the United States Code, Subtitle VII, part B, chapter 471, Section 47107(h)(2).
