The City of Cedar Rapids has announced the lineup of bands and local community partners for Weekend Rehearsal, a Thursday evening concert series held in downtown Cedar Rapids at Greene Square.
Weekend Rehearsal is part of Summer in the Square, presented by the City of Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, ImOn Communications, TrueNorth Companies, and UFG Insurance. The annual series brings live music, community connection, and local giving together in the heart of downtown.
Weekend Rehearsal takes place Thursday evenings in July from 5-8 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m., giving guests time to gather, visit local food vendors, and enjoy the atmosphere before live music begins. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a summer evening downtown.
This year, attendees are invited to support local community organizations through a free-will offering collected during each event. Each concert will also highlight a different nonprofit partner working to make a positive impact in the Cedar Rapids community.

Weekend Rehearsal is one of many activities offered through Summer in the Square, a season-long initiative that transforms Greene Square into a vibrant gathering place for recreation, arts, entertainment, wellness, and community connection.
Throughout the summer, residents and visitors can enjoy games, art activities, fitness classes, family programs, food trucks, special events, and opportunities to discover and support local businesses through the Live Beats, Local Eats community partnership.
Whether you're meeting friends after work, bringing the family downtown, enjoying food from local vendors, or listening to live music under the trees, Weekend Rehearsal offers a fun and welcoming way to experience Cedar Rapids during the month of July.
Summer in the Square activities are free and open to the public.
