NIRI Announces Planned Retirement of President and CEO Matt Brusch

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - NIRI: The Association for Investor Relations today announced the planned retirement of President and Chief Executive Officer, Matthew D. Brusch. A former investor relations executive and NIRI member, Brusch is a nearly 20-year veteran of the association staff and has served as its CEO since 2022. Brusch plans to retire by the end of 2026.

The NIRI Board of Directors will conduct a national search for Brusch's successor as part of the planned transition in leadership. Remy Bernarda, NIRI Board Chair, will lead the search committee. Brusch will remain in his current role until a successor is appointed and onboarded.

Over the course of his tenure, and especially as CEO, Matt has advanced NIRI's strategic priorities and helped position us well for the future."

Mr. Brusch has had a distinguished career in investor relations spanning three decades. Highlights of his NIRI tenure include returning the organization to financial strength following the pandemic, driving NIRI's strategic planning processes, and leading regulatory and legislative advocacy initiatives benefitting public companies. He was also instrumental in launching the Investor Relations Charter (IRCĀ®) certification program, leading development of the NIRI Annual Conference, and producing numerous publications to advance the IR profession.
