The Attorney General's Office today announced that Colin Robertson, 56, of Northfield, Vermont, was arraigned on one misdemeanor count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. The charge brought against Mr. Robertson is the result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Berlin Police Department in coordination with personnel from the Vermont Attorney General's Office.
Mr. Robertson pleaded not guilty at the arraignment today in Vermont Superior Court, Washington Unit, Criminal Division. The Court, Judge Daniel Richardson presiding, ordered conditions of release which prohibit Mr. Robertson from possessing or consuming alcohol.
The Attorney General's Office emphasizes that individuals charged with a crime are legally presumed innocent until their guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
