Springtime Tallahassee Road Closures

The 58th annual Springtime Tallahassee events take place this weekend, March 27 and 28. Thousands of visitors are expected downtown for the Music Festival on Friday, followed by the 5K and 10K races, parade and Jubilee in the Park on Saturday. To help ensure a safe environment for all attendees, road closures will be in effect throughout both days. If you are not planning to attend, consider using alternate travel routes, as vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the downtown area will be significantly heavier than usual.
Friday, March 27
Below are closures related to the Music Festival:

Duval Street - Northbound Duval Street will be blocked at Madison Street at 5:30 a.m. to construct the stage for the Music Festival. State employees will be allowed access to their parking garages.

W. Pensacola Street - There will be one lane open on W. Pensacola Street at Duval Street for westbound traffic from 5:30-9 a.m. At 9 a.m., there will be no more westbound traffic until after the concert (approximately 4 a.m. on March 28).

Adams Street and Jefferson Street - Westbound traffic will be blocked completely at 9 a.m. Access to the Capitol complex gate (under Waller Park) will be allowed through.
Saturday, March 28
The staging area for parade floats will close at 6:30 a.m. and reopen at the conclusion of the parade (approximately 12:30 p.m.)

N. Monroe Street at Seventh Avenue - No southbound traffic from Seventh Avenue to Brevard Street

N. Monroe Street at Sixth Avenue - Eastbound traffic allowed. No southbound traffic.

Brevard Street at Adams Street - No eastbound traffic

Brevard Street at Calhoun Street - No westbound traffic

Third Avenue at Adams Street - No eastbound traffic

Third Avenue at Thomasville Road - No westbound traffic

Fourth Avenue at Adams Street - No eastbound traffic

Fifth Avenue at Adams Street - No eastbound traffic

Fifth Avenue at Thomasville Road - No westbound traffic
For the Springtime 5K/10K races, Franklin Blvd. will close from Tennessee Street to Lafayette Street from 7:30-9 a.m., then re-open for traffic diversion from Apalachee Parkway.
The parade route will close at 9:15 a.m. and reopen at the conclusion of the parade (approximately 12:30pm)

Monroe Street - Closed at Georgia, Carolina and Virginia streets

Monroe Street - Closed from W. Tennessee to Gaines streets for all traffic, including the all cross streets

Tennessee Street - Closed from Calhoun to Adams streets

Apalachee Parkway - Closed for westbound traffic at Franklin Avenue
Roads near the Jubilee in the Park will close from 6:30 a.m. through 7:30 p.m.
