Adam Shamil, Ikhmal Nour, and Pudds are among the national contingent contending at TikTok's first regional awards.
Following a nationwide public voting phase that saw over 5.3 million votes cast for Malaysia's most iconic and rising creators, TikTok has unveiled the 11 local champions who will advance to the regional stage at the inaugural TikTok Awards Southeast Asia 2026.
The national delegation will fly to Bali as Malaysia's Country Representatives to contend for top regional honors at the grand finale, where creators across Southeast Asia will be assessed by an esteemed panel of industry specialists with regional expertise, including the ASEAN Secretariat, WPP, and TikTok.
Angga Anugrah Putra, General Manager of Content Operations, Southeast Asia, TikTok, underscored: "Congratulations to all 11 local creators on being voted as Malaysia's Country Representatives. As 'The Ones Who Spark It', the chosen creators reflect the authentic pulse of our local communities, turning creative passions into tangible economic growth and positive social impact. Across our over 460 million-strong Southeast Asian community, the spark of even a single creator can transcend borders and connect cultures. By uniting top creators across six countries and elevating their work to the regional stage, we will empower our creators with greater opportunities to further cultivate diverse communities, build sustainable businesses, and inspire audiences at scale."
Mediha Mahmood, CEO of Content Forum, who was present at the local red-carpet gala celebration, echoed the sentiment: "Digital content, when created responsibly and intentionally, holds immense potential to drive social progress, uplift livelihoods, and catalyze economic growth. Creators are not only powering the creative economy, but are also serving as positive role models who inspire the next generation of local innovators and entrepreneurs. We are proud to see such exceptional Malaysian talent celebrated on the regional stage."
Here are Malaysia's Country Representatives for TikTok Awards Southeast Asia 2026:
Adam Shamil, Malaysia's Country Representative for Creator of the Year, said: "I'm truly honoured to represent Malaysia on this regional stage. This recognition means a lot, not just to me, but also to the team and community who have been part of this journey. As a creator and business owner, I've seen how content can go beyond sharing stories and become a way to connect with people, grow a business and create opportunities for others. Coming from Borneo, I'm proud to bring our stories and creativity to a wider regional audience. I hope this recognition also inspires more people to pursue their passions and turn their ideas into something meaningful."
The TikTok Awards Country Representatives were announced after the Country Nominees public voting phase, which ran from 12 October to 26 October 2026. TikTok Awards Southeast Asia Winners will be announced on 27 November 2026 in Bali, Indonesia.
