Data Center Installations AS (DCI) and Critical Infrastructure Services AS (CIS) enter into a cooperation agreement with Reikna AS regarding the development of AI data centers in Norway

Data Center Installations AS (DCI) and Critical Infrastructure Services AS (CIS), both subsidiaries within the installation group Sparc Group AB (publ), have entered into an agreement with Reikna AS to jointly develop new AI data centers in Norway. The cooperation agreement marks the beginning of a long-term initiative focused on scalable, efficient, and future-proof data center infrastructure.

The first phase of the collaboration includes the development of two key building blocks in the first data center: a standardized and scalable 50 MW data center, as well as a smaller, flexible module of approximately 5 MW for rapid deployment. The smaller unit enables faster establishment, while the larger building block forms the foundation for long-term capacity and further expansion of additional data centers through 2030.

- The collaboration with Reikna is an important step in the company's effort to become a leading EPC player within the data center segment. By combining scalability with rapid implementation, we can meet the growing demand for AI capacity, with the ambition of a long-term partnership with Reikna AS and continued development of multiple data centers following the completion of the project's first phase, says Bjørn Arve Olsen, Co-founder of DCI.

Reikna AS is a Norwegian developer of scalable HPC and AI data centers. The company is responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from identifying and developing suitable sites to full operation. In its role as project developer, Reikna drives projects from an early stage through to investment decision, including land development, grid connection, permitting, and financing. During the construction phase, the company acts as the developer (client) and is responsible for planning, execution, and quality assurance throughout the entire process.

Site secured at Husnes
Reikna has acquired approximately 13,000 m² of industrial land at Husnes, with an option on an additional ~30,000 m² for future expansion. The acquisition marks a decisive step from project development into execution and confirms Husnes as the location for Reikna's first data center project, NDC Husnes.

DCI is one of the leading technical delivery partners in the Nordic data center market. The company and its founders have extensive and solid experience from several of the major data center developments in Norway, with experience dating back to 2014.

The company is currently involved in the development of a larger HPC/AI data center in Norway of approximately 180 MW, with a focus on early collaboration, cost transparency, and structured project governance. DCI is a wholly owned subsidiary within the installation group Sparc Group AB (publ).

- Our investment in critical infrastructure together with DCI continues, and we are pleased to be involved at an early stage together with Reikna, enabling us to drive engineering and execution in the best possible way. At Sparc Group, we look forward to supporting and building this partnership over the long term, says Erik Björklund, CEO of Sparc Group.

Once the facilities are operational, Reikna AS will continue as owner and operator in collaboration with Critical Infrastructure Services AS (CIS), which will be responsible for the daily operations and long-term development of the facilities.
