Updated Terms and Conditions of Certification and Trademark License, Effective December 7, 2026
CFP Board has updated the Terms and Conditions of Certification and Trademark License ("Terms"), effective December 7, 2026.
Read the full text of the modified Terms and review a redline copy of the revised Terms.
The Terms set forth the contractual agreement between CFP Board and each individual CFP® professional. CFP Board periodically updates the Terms, and these latest modifications to the Terms narrow the scope of the arbitration provision to disciplinary claims (paragraph r) and make other technical changes. By continuing your status as a CFP® professional after December 7, 2026, you will have accepted the modified Terms.
CFP Board encourages all CFP® professionals and candidates for CFP® certification to familiarize themselves with the revised Terms.
