River Talks 2026 continues this September with three opportunities to explore important water facilities and learn directly from the people who help manage Santa Fe's water resources. Space is limited, so advance registration is required.
Upper Watershed Hike and Nichols Reservoir Tour
Saturday, September 19 | 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cerro Gordo Trailhead
Join the City and the Santa Fe Watershed Association for a 5-mile round-trip hike through The Nature Conservancy's Santa Fe Canyon Preserve and into the Santa Fe Municipal Watershed. The excursion includes a rare opportunity to tour the new pre-treatment facility and metering vault at Nichols Dam, led by Jonathan Montoya, Canyon Road Treatment Plant Manager.

Buckman Direct Diversion Water Treatment Plant Tour
