Frederick County and EmPOWER Program to Host Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on September 25

Members of the community are invited to attend a celebration in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, September 25. The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Master Chef Restaurant, 1315 West Patrick Street in Frederick.

This celebration will feature a proclamation from County Executive Jessica Fitzwater. It will also showcase videos recognizing local businesses and community members, highlighting their contributions to Frederick County. The videos will be shared on Frederick County Government's Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages throughout Hispanic Heritage Month.

At the upcoming event, the Frederick County Office of Economic Development's EmPOWER loan program will offer an opportunity to network and discuss entrepreneurship among attendees. The mission of the EmPOWER program is to create an environment of economic inclusion in Frederick County that supports all business owners, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or religion.
