Tickets for 2025 Wheeling Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony on Sale Now

Wheeling, W. Va., September 10 - In just under a month, the Wheeling University Athletics Department will be honoring some of its all-time greats at the 2025 Wheeling Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony.

The event will be held inside Swint Hall's Troy Theater on Saturday, October 4, with a reception at 9 a.m. followed by the ceremony at 10 a.m. Tickets for the event are on sale now for $20 a piece. The ticket includes the pre-ceremony reception as well as the event, and can be purchased by clicking HERE.

This year's class of 2025 honorees include nine individuals and the second team to be honored in the history of the Wheeling Athletics Hall of Fame.

The individual honorees include eight players from six different programs, including the first-ever Wheeling Men's Lacrosse player to earn the honor in Mark Greaney ('07). Greaney will be joined by Wheeling Volleyball players Kirstin Hearn ('04) and Kim Melinauskas ('04), Wheeling Men's Basketball Player Terrance Bradley ('07), Wheeling Women's Basketball Player Katie Repicky ('07), and Wheeling Track & Field Athletes Rusty Fry, Eric Faulkner ('00), and Amanda Davidson ('00). The final individual honoree will be the first Special Contributor inducted since the class of 1998 when Rick Soos ('91) is inducted for his lifetime work as a statistician with the Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and several other teams on campus. The final honoree is the second team to be inducted as the 1988-89 Men's Basketball team will be inducted.

Fans are welcome to attend the event and celebrate the honorees and their contributions to Wheeling Athletics. The morning will begin with a one-hour reception prior to the event where fans and Hall of Famer can mingle and talk about their time at Wheeling University. Following the reception, the ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with an introduction from Sports Information Director Zack Zeigler and addresses from President Dianna Vargo. Ed.D., and Athletic Director Carrie Hanna.

Each of the 10 honorees will take the podium to offer an induction speech. The day will end with a special pregame ceremony before the Wheeling Football team battles West Virginia Wesleyan at 3:30 p.m. The inductees will be welcomed onto the field for a special pregame ceremony, where they are recognized for their accomplishments.
