Augusta, Maine - President Trump recently praised Susan Collins during an interview on Fox News. The president said, "And you have Collins… I hope she wins… She's a good person, actually."

Maine Democratic Party spokesperson Kristi Johnston released the following statement:

"Donald Trump just said what Mainers already know - Susan Collins is on his team. She votes with him 96% of the time and is a reliable rubber stamp for his extreme agenda. While Mainers struggle with rising costs and cuts to their health care, Collins is standing with Trump and corporate interests instead of the people she was elected to represent. After 30 years in Washington and some of the worst approval ratings in the country, she can't hide from her record any longer."
