Senator Continues Work to Protect Unborn, Awarded A+ by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America
BISMARCK, N.D. - Senator John Hoeven issued the following statement in recognition of the 2026 March for Life and thanking all those who participated in the annual pro-life event.
"We appreciate the North Dakotans and those from across the nation who are participating in this year's March for Life. Your efforts truly make a difference as we support the sanctity of life. Thank you for your continued support for the unborn," said Hoeven. "We remain committed to protecting the unborn and the health of mothers, and have supported legislation in the Senate to help advance these important priorities."
In the Senate, Hoeven received an A+ grade from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America for supporting life and helping to introduce multiple pieces of legislation to protect the unborn, including:

The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act: Legislation with Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) to prevent federal funding from being used for abortions.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act: Legislation he helped introduce with Senator James Lankford (R-Okla.) to protect newborns that survive abortions by requiring they receive care from health care practitioners.

Support and Value Expectant (SAVE) Moms and Babies Act: Legislation with Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) that would reinstate required in-person dispensing for chemical abortion drugs.

Conscience Protection Act: Legislation with Senator Lankford to protect health care providers who do not participate in abortions due to their religious beliefs from being penalized or discriminated against by federal, state or local government.
