Plan Ahead: Loop 202 Ramp Closures Happening in Gilbert This Weekend Sept. 11–15

Gilbert, Ariz.- The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures as part of the Loop 202 widening project, between Loop 101 and Val Vista Drive:

Overnight ramp closure (Sept. 11-12)

  • The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Cooper Road and the eastbound off-ramp at Gilbert Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12.

Weekend ramp closures (Sept. 12-15)

  • The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Cooper Road and the eastbound off-ramp at Gilbert Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14.
  • The westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Val Vista Drive will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, to 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14.
  • The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Arizona Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15.

Please help us promote highway safety. Speed limits on Loop 202 are reduced to 55 miles per hour in work zones for the safety of you and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones. Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
