Technicality does not constitute innocence: CABEI to pursue action against Dante Mossi in US court

Tegucigalpa, Honduras, September 25, 2025.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) informs its stakeholders that it will extend its legal actions against Dante Mossi. This follows the decision of the Federal Court of the District of Columbia, which has determined that there is personal jurisdiction over Dante Mossi and that CABEI has the right to bring actions in a U.S. state court.

It is essential to clarify that this decision is strictly based on a procedural technicality and does not constitute, nor can it be understood or interpreted as a pronouncement on the innocence of the defendant, nor on the merits of the allegations made by CABEI.

CABEI reaffirms that the legal action taken responds to events considered serious and harmful that compromise institutional values, including interference in strategic relationships, misuse of resources, and damage to assets. As a multilateral institution, the Bank maintains its unwavering commitment to safeguarding institutional integrity and protecting the interests of its member countries.

CABEI will take steps to ensure that this case is heard in the appropriate forums. The defense of ethics, transparency, and accountability remains a central pillar of our work.
