The City's Sustainable Lawn Replacement Rebate provides incentives to help offset the cost of replacing water-thirsty lawns with water-wise plants and efficient irrigation. Standard rebate is $2/square foot of lawn replaced or $5/square foot if you replace your lawn with a rain garden! Total rebate amount is based upon square footage of lawn removed and property type. All projects must be approved in advance before any work is started. To get started, visit SantaBarbaraCA.gov/LawnRebate or call (805) 564-5460.
