Congressman Morgan McGarvey Reacts to Supreme Court Ruling Allowing Trump to End Legal Protections for Haitians, Syrians

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 25, 2026) - Today, Congressman Morgan McGarvey released the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled in Mullin v. Doe to end legal protections for migrants fleeing violence and natural disaster in Haiti and Syria:

"This has nothing to do with legal status, and it never has.

"The Trump administration is going after immigrants with legal status just so they can deport more people - and apparently the Supreme Court is going to let them do it.

"If you still think this isn't racist, look no further than what the president has said about the Haitian community."
