In 2025 alone, the City's dispatch center handled more than 270,000 calls for service, each representing a member of the community in need of immediate assistance. The center is staffed by 42 full-time dispatchers, including six trainees, and supported by six on-duty supervisors, ensuring continuous, efficient, and coordinated response operations.
The West Henderson dispatch center is designed to enhance speed, situational awareness, and communication across all emergency services. Its advanced layout and integrated technology allow personnel to process calls quickly while maintaining clarity during high-pressure situations. The center is also equipped with built-in redundancies, ensuring uninterrupted operations during major incidents.
"While they are often unseen, our dispatchers are never unheard. They are the true first responders, the steady pulse at the start of every emergency, and the lifeline that connects our community to the help they need," said Chief of Police Reggie Rader. As Henderson continues to grow, the dispatch center has expanded its capabilities, including doubling its training workstations to ensure new telecommunicators are fully prepared to meet increasing demand.
