The City of Tulsa has released its 2026 Annual Water Quality Report, confirming Tulsa's drinking water continued to meet or exceed all state and federal drinking water requirements throughout 2025.
The report gives residents an inside look at where Tulsa's drinking water comes from, how it is treated, and the extensive daily testing that keeps it safe.
During 2025, City of Tulsa laboratory professionals and water treatment staff performed more than 47,000 tests to monitor drinking water quality across the system.
Tulsa's drinking water comes from Lake Oologah, Lakes Spavinaw and Eucha, and Lake Hudson before being treated at the City's Mohawk and A.B. Jewell water treatment plants.
"Every time someone turns on their faucet, there's an entire team of people working behind the scenes to make sure the water is safe, reliable, and there when they need it," said Eric Lee, Director of Water & Sewer. "This report is a snapshot of the work our employees do every single day to protect public health, maintain critical infrastructure, and deliver water our community can trust."
The report also explains that some contaminants can still appear in testing results at very small levels, even when the water remains safe to drink and well below federal limits.
Some highlights from this year's report include:
