USMC Honors the life of General Michael J. Williams, 28th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps
WASHINGTON, D.C. --
The United States Marine Corps honored the life and service of the 28th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Michael J. Williams, USMC (Ret.), with a graveside burial with full military honors on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico.
The family will receive condolences at the following address:

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a charitable donation be made to the "National Military Family Association" through Raymond Funeral Home.
All Marine Corps installations within the National Capital Region displayed the National Ensign at half-mast on December 18, 2025, from the beginning of the funeral until sunset.
