Airport Road Construction Update for April 17
Work continues on the Airport Road Roadway Improvements Project with several activities underway and an updated timeline for Phase Two.
Current Work Activities
Striping operations are taking place throughout the week along Airport Road.
Concrete structure work at 4200 Airport Road, in front of PC's Restaurant, is nearing completion.
Motorists should expect shoulder work and minor lane shifts in the area.
Phase Two Timeline Update
Phase Two, which covers the segment of Airport Road from NM 599 to Country Club Road, has been rescheduled. Work is now expected to begin by the end of July and conclude by early August. This adjustment is due to the Public Works Parks Division's planned median improvements project and other scheduling considerations.
Parks Division Median Improvements Project
The Parks Division will begin median improvements soon along Airport Road from NM 599 to Paseo del Sol West. This work must be completed prior to the start of Phase Two roadway improvements.
Additional details and confirmed dates for Phase Two will be shared once the Parks Division completes its work.
