Welcoming Landon DiLeonardo to Great Range Capital

We are excited to welcome Landon DiLeonardo to Great Range Capital as an Analyst.

Landon is a familiar face around the office. After interning with GRC while completing his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University, he now returns to the firm full time after graduating summa cum laude with bachelor's degrees in finance and accounting.

In his new role, Landon will support the firm across investment evaluation, due diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio company initiatives.

Building a Foundation

Landon grew up in Topeka, Kansas, as the oldest of four children. With both of his parents working as teachers, education and lifelong learning were important parts of his upbringing.

His interest in finance stemmed from a desire to combine analytical problem-solving with relationship building.

"I like to work with numbers and people," Landon says. "Finance provides a great intersection between those two areas."

That mindset led him to pursue both finance and accounting at Kansas State University.

Finding a Path to Private Equity

Landon credits his involvement in the K-State Finance Scholars program with helping him discover his interest in investing and private equity. Along the way, professors Sabuhi Sardarli, Eric Higgins, and Tareq Nasser helped shape his educational experience and deepen his interest in the field.

Outside the classroom, he stayed highly involved on campus, serving as Vice President of K-State Finance Scholars, President of the Student Finance Association, and Vice President of the Economics Club. He also participated in the university's tennis club.

Throughout college, Landon gained experience across several areas of finance. He interned with Security Benefit in its investment operations group after his freshman year and later joined Piper Sandler's debt capital markets group following his junior year.

Returning to GRC

It was Landon's internship at Great Range Capital that solidified the path he wanted to pursue.

During his internship, he contributed to due diligence, financial analysis, market research, and deal evaluation while also supporting portfolio companies, developing lender materials, and assisting with investor reporting.

The breadth of that experience gave him a firsthand look at private equity and reinforced his interest in mergers and acquisitions.

The opportunity to be involved in M&A, work closely with businesses, and learn from GRC's senior team made returning to GRC an easy decision.

Looking ahead, Landon is eager to continue expanding his knowledge.

"I'm looking forward to discovering more about different types of businesses and interacting with our senior team to learn how they think through potential opportunities," he says.

We're excited to welcome Landon back to Great Range Capital and look forward to all he'll contribute as he begins this next chapter with the firm.
