BlueCross Medicare Plans Receive 2027 CMS Star Ratings

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST)'s Medicare Advantage PPO plan a 3.5-Star rating and BlueCare Plus, the company's Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP), a 3-Star rating for 2027.

CMS Star Ratings are based on measures that evaluate health plans' performance in areas such as member experience, customer service, health outcomes and plan operations. The ratings help Medicare beneficiaries compare health plans during the Open Enrollment period.

BCBST's Medicare Advantage PPO plan continues to provide coverage and support for Medicare beneficiaries across Tennessee. Earlier this year, BCBST was recognized by J.D. Power as the #1 Ranked and Most Trusted Medicare Advantage Plan in Tennessee and the highest-performing Medicare Advantage plan in the country across all 12 regions measured. The recognition reflects members' experiences and trust in the service, support and care they receive from BCBST.
