Cancer Survivors and Caregivers Invited to Free Six-Week Workshop at Shore Medical Center

Workshop Held Tuesdays from Feb. 24 - March 31, 4:30-7:00 pm

Community members who are currently in cancer treatment, living as a survivor, or caring for a loved one with cancer are invited to take part in Cancer: Thriving and Surviving, a free, six-week interactive workshop offered at Shore Medical Center's Cancer Center.

Developed by Stanford University, this evidence-based program is open to all cancer survivors and caregivers, regardless of where they have received care. The workshop provides practical tools, encouragement, and peer connection to help participants navigate the physical, emotional, and everyday challenges of life during and after cancer.

Cancer: Thriving and Surviving will be held every Tuesday from February 24 through March 31, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., at Shore Cancer Center, which is located at 644 Shore Road in Somers Point.

Through guided discussion, interactive activities, and shared experiences, participants will learn strategies to:

  • Manage fatigue, pain, isolation, sleep challenges, and the uncertainty that often accompanies cancer
  • Set priorities and create realistic, achievable personal goals
  • Improve nutrition and fitness while maintaining healthy lifestyle changes
  • Communicate more effectively with family, friends, and healthcare professionals
  • Make informed decisions about treatment options and complementary therapies

Registration is required, and space may be limited. To register, please call 609-653-3923.
