Piyush Pandey Inducted into One Club Creative Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Ogilvy is proud to share that Piyush Pandey, the agency's former Global Chief Creative Officer and one of the most influential creative leaders in the history of Indian advertising, has been named a 2026 inductee into the One Club for Creativity's Creative Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on September 16, 2026, at Capitale in New York.

The One Club recognized Piyush for transforming the industry "by bringing the language, humor, and humanity of everyday India into the heart of brand storytelling" - a fitting description of a career that spanned more than four decades and left a permanent mark on advertising in India and around the world.

Piyush joined Ogilvy in 1982 as a trainee account executive and spent his entire career at the agency, eventually becoming Global Chief Creative Officer in 2019. His campaigns - among them the Cadbury Dairy Milk "Real Taste of Life," the Fevicol series, and India's Polio Eradication work with UNICEF - became cultural touchstones far beyond the advertising industry. He also wrote the lyrics to "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara," the 1988 national integration anthem that remains part of India's collective memory.

A dedicated mentor, Piyush shaped generations of creative leaders across India and beyond. His philosophy - "tough on work, gentle on people" - guided not just his own leadership, but the careers of countless people he brought along with him.

The Creative Hall of Fame, which dates back to 1961, is among the industry's most rigorous honors. Inductees are evaluated on three criteria: impact, influence, and inspiration. Piyush embodied all three.
