Chinese Consulate General in Erbil Holds the Symposium for Celebrating the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China

On July 5, the Chinese Consulate General in Erbil held a symposium to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). More than 50 representatives from 7 political parties in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq attended the event. Consul General Liu Jun made a keynote speech, and Deputy Consul General Zhang Jianxin chaired the symposium.

In his keynote speech, Liu Jun gave a systematic review of the glorious 105-year history of the CPC and elaborated on the core essence of the The Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building as well as the general requirements for party building in the new era. He noted that, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the CPC has remained committed to a people-centered philosophy of development and has advanced the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through Chinese-style modernization, while making new and greater contributions to world peace and development. Some young diplomats from the Consulate General also shared vivid stories drawn from their own experience, focusing on topics as the implementation of the Central Party Leadership's Eight-Point Decision on Improving Conduct and China's victory in the battle against poverty.

At the symposium, Dr. Hawrami, KDP Politburo member, Mr. Darbaz, PUK Politburo member, Mr. Abu Karwan, General Secretary of the Kurdistan Communist Party (KCP), Dr. Kawa, Chairman of the Global Civilization Initiative Research Center and former General Secretary of the KCP, as well as youth representatives delivered their speeches. The participants warmly celebrated the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, spoke highly of the CPC's remarkable achievements and successful experience in governance, and expressed their readiness to further deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation with the Communist Party of China.
