Athletic Department prepares to elevate excellence in the NAIA era

Bismarck State College (BSC) kicked off a bold new chapter for Mystics athletics Thursday evening, introducing the reimagined Mystic Athletic Boosters at the BSC Foundation's sold-out Mystic Brews: Taste of the Hops event to champion student-athletes.

In addition to the existing sport-specific program and scholarship funds, financial support from the new Mystic Athletic Boosters will help the college's athletic department and student-athletes hit the ground running as they enter their new era of competition against four-year programs in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

"We have almost 300 student-athletes competing at the four-year level of intercollegiate athletics, and we will work relentlessly to provide them every opportunity to maximize their potential," says BSC Director of Athletics Myron Schulz, who has been working in various levels of collegiate athletics for more than 35 years.

Starting in the 2025-26 membership year, the booster club will introduce a unified benefits chart for donors who support the BSC athletic department's mission and advancement. Giving levels begin at $100 for those interested in becoming a Mystic Athletic Booster. Some perks of giving include: Mystic gear, bookstore discounts, premium season tickets and even an invite to the exclusive President's dinner.

"This is a direct way for those who love the Mystics to get involved. Bismarck State College is a premier polytechnic institution located in North Dakota's finest city. Our mission is to enhance the Mystic student-athlete experience academically, physically and socially, and to provide vibrant activity on campus.
