Overnight Ramp Closures on SR-92 Interchange from September 14 - 18

San Mateo County ― Caltrans has scheduled nightly full ramp closures on the westbound SR-92 connector to southbound US-101 (Loop Ramp) in the city of San Mateo beginning Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18. Crews will work to install conduits for the ramp metering system and street lighting along the westbound SR-92 connector to southbound US-101.

Closure Schedule:

Westbound SR-92 Connector to Southbound US-101 (Loop Ramp)

• Nightly on September 14 - 18
• Full ramp closures: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM
• Detour route: From Westbound SR-92→ Loop off-ramp → Delaware St. → EB Concar Dr. → on-ramp to EB Rte 92 → Connector off-ramp to SB Rte 101.

E. Hillsdale Blvd. Loop On-Ramp to Northbound US-101

• Full ramp closure: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Detour route (To EB Route 92): E. Hillsdale Blvd. → NB Edgewater Blvd. → On-Ramp to EB Route 92.
• Detour route (To WB Route 92 and NB Route 101): E. Hillsdale Blvd. → NB Edgewater Blvd. → NB Mariners Island Blvd. → EB Fashion Island Blvd. → On-Ramp to WB Route 92 → Connector Off-Ramp to NB Route 101.

Northbound US-101 Off-Ramp to E. Hillsdale Blvd.

• Full ramp closure: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Nightly on September 14 - 18
• Detour route (NB Route 101 Off-Ramp to E. Hillsdale Blvd.): NB Route 101 → Connector Off-Ramp to EB Route 92 → Off-Ramp to Edgewater Blvd./Mariners Island Blvd. → SB Edgewater Blvd. → E. Hillsdale Blvd.

Additionally, crews will conduct nightly electrical work beginning Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18 at E. Hillsdale Boulevard and Eastbound SR-92/Mariners Island Boulevard, which will require traffic control at various locations and times.

Westbound SR-92 Mainline (1 Lane will be Closed)

• One lane on westbound SR-92 will be closed between the northbound US-101 off-ramp and the southbound US-101 loop ramp.
• Nightly on September 14 - 18
• Traffic control in place: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM.

Southbound US-101 Mainline (1-3 Lanes will be Closed)

• 1 to 3 lanes will be closed, between the SR-84 junction and the SR-92 junction.
• Nightly on September 14 - 18
• Traffic control in place: 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM.

Northbound US-101 Mainline (1-3 Lanes will be Closed)

• 1 to 3 lanes will be closed, between the SR-92 junction and Broadway.
• Nightly on September 14 - 18
• Traffic control in place: 10:00 PM - 5:00 AM.

Eastbound SR-92 (from the NB/SB US-101 Connector Ramp to east of Mariners Island Boulevard)

• Nightly on September 14 - 18
• Traffic control in place: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

This work is part of the $45M U.S. 101- SR-92 Short-term Improvements Project that is co-sponsored by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and City/County Association of Governments. The project will bring operational improvements, enhancement to local access, and promotion of economic vitality to the region.
