Penn State Altoona professor nominated for Pushcart Prize

Todd Davis, professor of English and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona, had his poem, "Freeze and Thaw," nominated for a Pushcart Prize by the literary journal "Chautauqua." His latest book, "Ditch Memory: New & Selected Poems," and his poem, "Goat Dream," were featured by "Verse Daily."

ALTOONA, Pa. - Todd Davis's personal essay, "Berkshire Brookies," has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize from the literary journal "Chautauqua," edited and published by the M.F.A. in Creative Writing program at University of North Carolina-Wilmington.

The essay recounts an afternoon Davis spent fishing for brook trout in a small stream on a farm in western Massachusetts.

Davis is professor of English and environmental studies at Penn State Altoona.
