Budding Talent Vocal Competition - Apply Today

Young singers, this is your moment. Budding Talent is an annual vocal competition for students in kindergarten-12th grade, giving kids the chance to take center stage at the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival. Finalists will perform live on Sunday, May 17 at 1:30 p.m., in front of a festival crowd cheering them on. The journey begins with a live preliminary audition on Sunday, April 12 at the Richardson Senior Center.

2026 Wildflower! Student Art Contest - Apply Today

Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival invites students to create bold, colorful flower artwork inspired by the Pop Art Movement. For students K-6th grades, pick up a poster board at one of the pick-up/drop-off locations and enter your masterpiece for a chance to win a ribbon and tickets to the festival.

Alamo Drafthouse Movie Party: "Jurassic Park"

Join Alamo Drafthouse for an interactive movie party and watch "Jurassic Park." There will be props including glow sticks, hand soap, a car magnet, a ladle, dino poop and everything else you need for a fun-filled time with some two-story-tall genetic monstrosities.

Set in the 1950s "Curtains" takes the audience backstage to the drama and intrigue of the theater world. Chefsville: Route 66 Food Truck Adventure Camp

On this Route 66 road trip, kids ages 7-15 will explore America's tastiest food truck flavors while learning real kitchen skills. Each day they will "park" in a new city, stamp their culinary passport and master recipes inspired by street eats. They will chop, sauté, season and plate like a pro.

Spring Creek Nature Area Walk

Join the Richardson Urban Naturalist program on this relaxing nature walk through Spring Creek Nature Area. The park contains more than 100 acres of hardwood riparian forest adjacent to Spring Creek, one of the major creeks in Richardson. Trash Bash

Richardson's annual Trash Bash event returns. Attendees can do things like properly dispose of used cooking oil and kitchen grease, pick up a free preparedness bag, donate items to Network of Community Ministries and donate used eyeglasses.

Note: The electronics recycling and document shredding event will not be held on Trash Bash Day. Instead, it will take place on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Heights Church, 201 E. Renner Road.
