Visit to the Zongshen Industrial Plant in Chongqing

On May 13, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, visited the large Zongshen Industrial Plant in Chongqing as part of his state visit to the People's Republic of China.

At the plant, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the types of light and heavy machinery, two-wheeled and three-wheeled motorcycles, sports bikes, various engines, small and large agricultural and aviation vehicles, and spare parts for various machinery.

Representatives of the company also informed the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, about modern production lines, the capacity and capabilities of the plant, and plans for cooperation with other countries of the world.

It was reported that the Zongshen plant is one of the leading Chinese companies in the field of automotive engineering, and its products are exported to dozens of countries around the world.

The plant produces 20 million different engines per year, 60 percent of which are exported.

During the acquaintance with the potential of the enterprise, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, taking into account the great potential of Tajikistan, emphasized the importance of attracting Chinese investment and introducing modern technologies in the development of domestic industry.

Also, the issues of establishing joint ventures and organizing industrial production in Tajikistan were discussed, and their importance for the development of the industrial sector, the creation of new jobs, and the production of competitive products was assessed.
