Sandy Springs to Host Veterans Day Tribute

The City of Sandy Springs to Host Annual Veterans Day Tribute

October 15, 2026

The City's 17th annual Veterans Day Tribute will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in Byers Theatre at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public, and all are invited to attend to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans.

Tommy Clack, a decorated Vietnam Veteran, will serve as this year's keynote speaker. Clack is a longtime public servant and nationally recognized advocate for veterans and military families. A Decatur native and 1965 Decatur High School honor graduate, Clack volunteered for the U.S. Army in 1966 and served as a forward artillery observer with the 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam. He has received more than 200 local, state, and national recognitions for his service, including a Point of Light Award, and induction into the Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame.

In addition to remarks from Clack, the event will feature the North Springs High School JROTC Color Guard, patriotic music performed by the Sandy Springs Middle School Choir, bagpipes, and a tribute to veterans by service branch.

The City of Sandy Springs proudly honors the sacrifice and valor of local heroes year-round at Veterans Park. Those wishing to pay tribute to loved ones with personalized pavers and benches can visit the Sandy Springs Foundation website at spr.gs/veterans.
