Oracle today announced a partnership with Arable that will fund projects to conserve more water than Project Jupiter uses in New Mexico. The work will take place in the Rio Grande-Bravo watershed, the same watershed that serves Project Jupiter, and will conserve approximately 21 million gallons of water annually. This is more than 20 times the amount of water needed to run Project Jupiter's cooling and power systems, and more than the campus's total potable and non-potable consumption combined at peak employment.
Arable, an agricultural technology company that helps farmers use water more efficiently, will work with regional agricultural experts, researchers, and local growers to carry out the program. The program will combine in-field sensors with training and ongoing support to inform growers' irrigation decisions with real-time data specific to their crops and fields.

The Arable partnership builds on Project Jupiter's broader investment in responsible water use and infrastructure in southern New Mexico, including a $50 million commitment to improve local water and wastewater systems in Doña Ana County for residents and businesses.
Helping New Mexico Farmers Use Water More Efficiently
Arable's in-field sensors provide farmers with real-time information about crop water needs and weather conditions. This helps farmers irrigate based on current conditions instead of relying only on fixed schedules, reducing unnecessary water use while supporting productive farms.
Agricultural specialists and Arable's agronomy team will provide hands-on training and ongoing support to help growers put the field-level data into practice to ensure the project's long-term sustainability.

Measuring and Validating the Results
An independent third-party assessor will validate the program's water savings using a recognized methodology for measuring and verifying water conservation projects. Oracle will publish the validation reports to ensure the results are transparent, measurable, and credible.
Oracle's partnership with Arable builds on Project Jupiter's extensive efforts to minimize water use, improve local water infrastructure in Doña Ana County, and develop responsibly to benefit New Mexico. Project Jupiter is expected to deliver $4.7 billion in economic benefits, create 7,000 construction jobs and 1,500 good-paying ongoing jobs, and operate with a focus on responsible resource use. Over 15 years, Project Jupiter will use the equivalent of just nine single-family homes' water use, including its one-time initial fill, using only non-potable water. Its independent energy system will also help protect local ratepayers while significantly reducing emissions.
