Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated in the discussion on the Implementation of the Global Pledges undertaken by Armenia at the Global Refugee Forum

On September 9, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated and delivered opening remarks at the round-table discussion on the Implementation of the Global pledges undertaken by Armenia at the Global Refugee Forum and further actions.

Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan commended the cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia. The Deputy Minister emphasized the commitment of Armenia to addressing the needs of refugees.

In his remarks, Robert Abisoghomonyan touched upon the steps undertaken and implemented by the Government of Armenia to address refugee-related issues, emphasizing that the current focus is shifting from addressing urgent needs to a policy of development and integration. In this context, the Deputy Foreign Minister stressed the importance of support from international donor partners to ensure the sustained implementation of programs in this sphere.

During the discussion, the progress made in implementing pledges was touched upon, and the priority directions for the years 2025-2027 were outlined.

The event was also attended by representatives of state institutions of Armenia, UN agencies and diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia, financial and economic organizations, civil society, as well as the private and academic sectors.
